Okay, that title is quite ambiguous given the fact the comings and goings of summer have been incredibly hard to predict in recent years; however, generally speaking, we currently find ourselves in the last few weeks of our favourite season. So, what do we do about it? You will find yourself getting slightly anxious about the winter months rolling in and wondering if you have made the most of the sun, so naturally want to capitalise on it whilst it’s still here but aren’t sure how. Well, look no further! Below are some of the best activities available to you that will help you make the most out of the last few weeks of the summer.

Spend more time outdoors

It might seem like an obvious answer, but a lot of people feel a reluctance to spend time outdoors if they don’t have a reason to be there. This shouldn’t be the case, and you should look forward to spending time outdoors regardless of the occasion. Maybe you’re going for a walk? Maybe you’re going to read a book on a park bench? You can even indulge yourself. For example, if you live in the Woodbridge area and want to visit a restaurant, places like The Turks Head come with large outdoor seating areas so you can bask in the summer sun with a cold glass of whatever you’d like. This is one of the best ways to relax, and you’ll really revel in the summer heat whilst doing it.

Disconnect from technology

One of the things that will no doubt be keeping you inside is the easy access you have to technology. If you use the summer as an excuse to disconnect from it all and enter vacation mode, you will no doubt feel a lot better for it. It doesn’t have to be a permanent measure; however, merely taking one day a week or so to enjoy the disconnect will do you wonders.

Start a fun and adventurous fitness programme

Get yourself out into the world and get fit at the same time with a fun fitness plan that incorporates lots of different activities such as hiking, bike riding, kayaking and whatever else you can think of. You can invite friends along and make memories out of it, and even if you try a new activity and aren’t very good, you’ll always have a fond memory of trying.

Meditate and try not to get stressed

This is something you should try and incorporate into your life all year round. The fact of the matter is that if you are stressed, then you’re not going to be able to enjoy anything due to the fact your mind is preoccupied with whatever it is that is making you stressed. The act of calming down varies for everyone, but regular meditation is always helpful as it can be a good way to focus more on yourself, overcoming internal and external obstacles as a result.
