TUI, the world’s leading holiday company and the UK’s number one holiday provider, are delighted to announce that Orlando Melbourne International Airport (MLB) will become the Florida gateway for customers travelling to Orlando from 2022.

Andrew Flintham, Managing Director TUI UK & Ireland and Dawn Wilson, Managing Director TUI Airways, welcomed Orlando Melbourne Airport Board Chairman Jack L. Ryals and Airport Executive Director Greg Donovan, A.A.E., to TUI UK Headquarters to celebrate the new partnership, including a tour of the airline hangar and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the aircraft type used for all long-haul flying.

TUI UK and Orlando Melbourne International Airport will be working together in the coming months to create an outstanding arrival and departure customer experience for holidaymakers, with MLB investing millions of dollars in terminal enhancements that will directly benefit TUI UK customers.

The brand new terminal extension will include unique concessions, innovative passenger amenities and many other family-friendly features that will allow customers to be entertained. The extension will also provide an uncongested, speedy, stress-free arrival as holidaymakers are welcomed by MLB’s team of international ambassadors with a glass of fresh Florida orange juice and assisted with any onward arrangements. Concierge services, public and private transfer options and all major car hire companies will be conveniently located upon arrival.

Dawn Wilson, Managing Director TUI Airways said “At TUI we’re committed to offering our customers an outstanding airline and holiday experience and we are delighted to be working with Orlando Melbourne Airport on their exciting expansion plans. Our new Orlando gateway will be perfectly situated to offer TUI UK customers total flexibility in designing their holiday around any combination of theme parks, beaches or cruising.”

MLB Executive Director Greg Donovan, A.A.E., added, “TUI’s proven product combined with MLB’s exceptional concierge services will make for an unprecedented customer experience for UK holidaymakers traveling to Florida. With more than $100 million USD of investment into MLB’s airport facilities over the last few years, and much more on the way, MLB will be practically the newest and most modern airport in Florida.”

Orlando Melbourne International Airport is located on Florida’s Space Coast, just a mile from Orlando’s closest beaches. It is the closest airport to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral, the second largest cruise port in the world, and a short drive to Orlando’s world-famous attractions.
