There’s no getting away from it; some people are just really difficult to buy for. If your boyfriend is one of them, you could spend ages searching for the right present.

Well, as a little gift to you, we’ve rounded up some of the best Christmas present ideas for boyfriends right here.

A day at the football

Getting your hands on tickets to major football games isn’t always straightforward, which makes it really special if you manage to do it.

You don’t necessarily have to go if you don’t want to either – just let him choose a family member or friend to take instead.

If tickets prove to be elusive, he’ll be just as happy with a personalised shirt featuring the name and number of his favourite player for the club he supports.

Coffee subscription

Once you get the taste for coffee, it becomes difficult to live without.

If your boyfriend considers himself a bit of an aficionado when you go out to your local coffee shop, treat him to some speciality coffee for a few months – or even a year.

There are plenty of independent roasteries that offer subscription packages. One of those is Manumit Coffee, which invests all its profits into anti-slavery initiatives and offers opportunities to those who have been exploited through training and employment.

A luxury robe

In the middle of winter, anything that provides warmth is welcome.

A dressing gown made from an incredibly soft fabric can take duvet days – and maybe even some shifts while working from home – to the next level of comfort.

Wallet

It’s an absolute essential, but plenty of men leave replacing their wallet until it’s practically falling apart.

Why not get in there early and get him an upgrade with a sophisticated leather wallet that might have more of a chance of standing the test of time?

You could personalise it with their initials, a photo of the two of you, or just a simple message.

Watch

A watch might seem a little unnecessary, given that practically everyone has a smartphone that can tell them whatever they need to know – including the time – in a flash.

However, there’s definitely still something to be said for the convenience of a timepiece, which only requires a quick move of the wrist to prove useful.

They’re a great fashion accessory and there are varieties to suit a range of tastes. You could even opt for a smartwatch that syncs up with their phone.

Gaming headset

If your boyfriend is an avid gamer, a new wireless headset will no doubt go down a storm.

They’ll get optimal sound and be able to talk easily with their friends without any annoying wires getting in the way of their controller.

You may have to sacrifice the TV for a bit, but at least you could get some peace and quiet!
