Marketing as a whole has been one of the major components that affect whether or not a business is successful and for a long-time print marketing was the most important way to market effectively. With the dawn and growth of the internet, online marketing took over but that does not mean that print marketing is ineffective. That is far from the truth, so if you are thinking about a new marketing campaign then you should definitely be aware of the benefits that come with a good print marketing strategy.

  1. Targeted Advertisement

It is much easier to target your audience with a print marketing campaign than it is with an online only campaign. There is of course data out there for marketers to use so they know how to market to the correct audience when marketing online but it isn’t perfect and is typically used to cast a wider net.

Print marketing with a specialist such as Printingprogress, allows you control over selecting who you are marketing too. This is even more true when speaking about local businesses, handing out flyers, passing out business cards, or printing in a newspaper means that the people who see your advertisement are the people that will actually be able to engage with your business.

  1. Personal Touch

Since marketing online is typically used to cast a wide net, it typically has to be more generic so that it fits a wider audience, this can be a significant detractor in the overall success of the campaign. When creating a print campaign, you are able to tailor the marketing strategy to fit the consumer and their needs better.

With many people online they are starting to become more jaded when it comes to seeing online advertisement and that is very evident in how popular online AD blockers are. It can be easy for the consumer to feel that all advertisement they see online is invasive or even outright spam.  With print marketing it is much easier to make the consumer feel that what they are reading or seeing is relevant to their needs and wants.

  1. Higher Engagement

A marketing campaign without engagement from the consumer is not ideal. So, you really want to try and maximise consumer engagement as much as possible. The reason that print marketing typically has higher engagement is that when someone is reading something that is tangible and in their hands, it is usually because they have made that concentrated effort to do so.

Also, due to the fact that print advertising typically has a targeted personal touch to it then the product or service is more likely to actually be something that they want or need. Since the marketing is more relevant to them and their needs, they are then more likely to engage with you and your business.

All of these benefits go hand in hand. Being able to target the campaign leads to being able to make it personal to them and then that leads to higher engagement which then in turn means greater success for you and your business.

This does not of course mean you should completely abandon online marketing and move back to traditional marketing. It just means that in the modern age if you want to be able to compete in this highly competitive market you are really going to want to do both.
